Weather

Do you sell, store or use my location information for other purposes?
No. When you allow our app to access your location, your latitude and longitude values are only used to fetch the current weather at that location. We don't store your location for other purposes and we have no idea who you are, we don't link these apps to any identity such as email or name. We send your location to our 3rd party weather provider after we have stripped out your unique IP address and reduced the accuracy of your location to three decimal places which gives a less precise location but still good enough for local weather.

The weather information is wrong sometimes.
We use a 3rd party data provider to power our weather app, sometimes their data and predictions can be wrong. One feature we are going to work on in the future will be to let users choose their data from different weather providers. Some providers are more accurate in areas than others.



Timer

The timer didn't ring.
Due to limitations in the iOS APIs, if your phone is in Silent/Do not Disturb mode and the Timer app is terminated while it's in the background, no sound will be played, just a visual notification toast.Please don't explicitly terminate the Timer app while it's in the background, and to be safe turn off Silent/DnD mode while you have an active timer.

If the app is running in the background it can play an audible timer alarm even if the phone is in Silent mode.

I didn't terminate the Timer app, but the alarm still didn't ring.
There are a number of circumstances where iOS will terminate an app while it's in the background:
- Memory is running low.
- A memory intensive app is in the foreground or multiple apps are running that are consuming resources. iOS will kill off other apps to try to reclaim more memory.
- The device reboots. If your device restarts maybe after an update, the Timer app will not be automatically launched.
- If your device is in low power mode iOS will more aggressively terminate background apps.

To be safe, turn off Silent/DnD mode when you have an active timer.

Will the timer alarm ring if I'm on a phone call?
No, the timer alarm sound will not play while you're on a phone call, however it will play once you end the call.

Can I stop the timer alarm without unlocking my device?
Unfortunately due to limitations in iOS you can't stop the alarm directly from the lock screen.However, if you tap the notification and unlock your device the Timer app will launch immediately.

The timer alarm sound is too quiet.Open the settings screen and increase the "Alarm Volume" slider to make the alarm louder.



Subscriptions

Why do I need to buy a subscription, I just want to buy the app once.
The apps cost money to run, each time we access weather data it costs money, so a subscription allows us to cover those ongoing costs. A subscription model also allows us (a small indie company) to have a more consistent income stream and provide constant updates to the apps.

Do I need a subscription for each app?
No. When you sign up for one of our subscription plans in any app you will get access to all of the other apps.

If I buy a subscription on one device will it work on other devices?
Yes. Subscriptions will work across devices as long as you are signed in using the same iCloud account.

I bought a subscription in one app but the other apps are still asking me to buy a subscription, what's going on?
It may take a few minutes for the other apps to recognize the purchased subscription. If you are still seeing the Subscription screen when launching the app, try again in a few minutes. You can keep clicking on the "Restore Purchase" link on the subscription page to try to get the latest subscription status. You also need to make sure you are logged in to the same iCloud account on your devices, since subscription information will only share across the same iCloud account. If all else fails, email us at support@andy.works with the information from the "Copy Logs" button that is shown on the subscription screen and we will get you up and running.

Is Family Sharing supported?
Family sharing is not currently supported in our apps, but we plan to add this support in the near future.

Does my subscription automatically renew?
Yes. Your subscription will automatically renew each month from the date of purchase (excluding 1 week free trial).

Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time. To do so, just open the settings menu in our apps and click on the "Manage Subscription" option. This will take you to the Apple iOS Subscription screen where you can cancel your subscription. How do I get a refund?
We're sorry that you didn't like our apps, if you have a few minutes we would love to hear why at support@andy.works We can't give you a refund directly, we don't get that ability from Apple but you can request a refund from Apple by going to the following link and signing in with the same Apple ID you used to buy the app: https://reportaproblem.apple.com



General

What is "Minimalist Mode"?
When Minimalist Mode is enabled UI elements such as the settings button and paging controls will be hidden after a small period of inactivity. If you prefer to always see these controls you can disable minimalist mode.
